Your Future Team
Atlassian is looking for an SEO Manager to join our Performance Marketing team. In this role, you will plan, execute, and measure organic strategies to develop and optimize content and technical needs across Atlassian's portfolio of blogs, microsites, and product landing pages. This role will focus on content strategy but requires both content creation/optimization skills and technical SEO knowledge. Your work will be important to Atlassian's growth and will impact the search experience of millions of monthly users.
Reporting to the SEO Team Lead, you will join a team of SEO professionals dedicated to supporting the growth of our portfolio of global software brands including Jira, Confluence, and Rovo.
What you'll do

  • Lead portfolio content strategy to drive organic growth for Atlassian products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create or optimize content that aligns with company and product objectives.
  • Partner with writers and SMEs throughout the content development process by guiding the creation of briefs, drafts, and final page copy and layout.
  • Use data and AI to identify content gaps, scale optimizations, and help prioritize the most impactful work.
  • Report on SEO performance to teammates, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Conduct competitive analyses to grow traffic for key search terms.
  • Create and refine reports with the Marketing Analytics team.
  • Educate stakeholders on SEO best practices.
  • Manage vendor/agency relationships to scale SEO efforts.


Who you are
The ideal candidate for this role has:

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience working with content in an SEO role, ideally in a software or large enterprise environment, focused on creating and implementing content strategies.
  • Content Chops: Experience performing keyword research, identifying content gaps, monitoring competitors, and creating content that performs well in organic search and connects with our target audience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understanding of how search engines crawl, index, and rank content with experience troubleshooting technical issues that prevent content from reaching its full potential.
  • Influencing Skills: Ability to work with cross-functional teams by building business cases for new organic acquisition strategies.
  • Analytical Capabilities: Collaboration with analytics and data science to provide program results, market insights, and opportunities to a cross-functional team that includes product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Proven Excellence In: Written and verbal communication, creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and organization.


Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $115,000 - $153,400
Zone B: $103,500 - $138,000
Zone C: $95,500 - $127,300
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
