Modivcaer is looking for an experienced Learning & Development Specialist II to join our team! This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging and effective training programs that enhance employee knowledge, skills, and performance. This role works collaboratively with subject matter experts, stakeholders, the Instructional Design Team, and other L&D team members to create and implement learning solutions that align with organizational goals and objectives.   • Conducts comprehensive needs assessments: Employs various methods (surveys, interviews, data analysis) to identify skill gaps and training requirements across diverse departments and roles. This includes forecasting future training needs based on organizational strategy and industry trends.
  • Designs and develops engaging, learner-centric curricula: Utilizes adult learning principles and best practices to create high-quality training programs. This encompasses developing diverse learning materials, including presentations, interactive eLearning modules, job aids, and practical exercises tailored to various learning styles.
  • Maintains and organizes training resources: Ensures all training materials are current, accessible, and effectively managed, creating a centralized repository for streamlined access.
  • Facilitates engaging and practical training sessions: Delivers training through various modalities (in-person workshops, virtual sessions, blended learning), adapting to diverse learning styles and ensuring active participation.
  • Demonstrates strong facilitation skills: Manages group dynamics, fosters a positive learning environment, and address participant questions effectively.
  • Develops and implements robust evaluation strategies: Designs and utilizes evaluation tools (surveys, assessments, performance metrics) to measure training effectiveness and participant learning.
  • Analyzes training data and feedback: Identifies areas for improvement, tracks training impact on performance, and provides data-driven recommendations for program enhancements.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives: Proactively seeks feedback and stays abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in learning and development to optimize training programs.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders: Collaborates with subject matter experts, department leaders, and L&D team members to ensure training programs align with organizational goals and address specific needs.
  • Aligns training initiatives with organizational strategy: Ensures all training efforts contribute to achieving business objectives.
  • Travel as required: Be prepared for occasional business travel to support training initiatives at various locations.
  • Provides comprehensive guidance and mentorship to trainees and junior Learning and Development (L&D) staff. This includes offering constructive feedback on their work, fostering a supportive environment, and actively contributing to their professional growth and development through tailored coaching and resources.
  • Fosters a positive and productive learning environment by monitoring and managing key factors, including trainee attendance, punctuality, and disruptive behavior. This involves implementing strategies to encourage consistent participation, timely arrival, and respectful conduct among trainees.
  • Observes and oversees classroom dynamics by actively facilitating an environment where trainees are encouraged to engage fully in discussions and activities while adhering to established classroom guidelines and protocols.
  • Reviews and approves employee timesheets, as well as manage various administrative responsibilities associated with staff training and development.
  • Conducts comprehensive training performance reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of training staff and proactively addressed any performance issues that may arise, ensuring continuous improvement and high standards in training delivery.
  • Conducts formal discussions with trainees to evaluate their progress and performance and to address any concerns or challenges they may be experiencing within the training program. This dialogue aims to provide constructive feedback and support their developmental journey.

We are interested in speaking with candidates with the following...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Learning & Development Specialist, preferably in a corporate setting or a combination of education and/or experience.
  • Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CPTD, APTD, CPTM, LXD, CPLP, SHRM, HRCI) are not required but preferred.
  • Learning Experience Design: Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training delivery techniques.
  • Training Development: Proven ability to design and develop engaging and effective training programs and materials, including instructor-led training, eLearning modules, and blended learning solutions.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Communication & Facilitation: Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and L&D team members.
  • Organization & Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze training data and feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Salary: $60,800 - $82,100
