WHAT YOU WILL DO
We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance, design, development, and enhancement of our Global Network Infrastructure. As part of a cohesive global team, you will play a key role in achieving significant engineering milestones aligned with our organization's growth objectives. This includes optimizing service delivery through robust SLO (Service Level Objective) metrics, implementing automation strategies, and expanding our enterprise network footprint. Additionally, you will serve as a subject matter expert across various aspects of our infrastructure services. Your responsibilities will encompass project planning, execution, deployment, operational support, and documentation.

This role will play a vital part in managing, maintaining, and upgrading existing infrastructure to ensure continuous and resilient operation.

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Design, install, and configure networking equipment and security systems for new office build-outs
  • Serve as an escalation point for our Global IT Service Desk team to resolve complex system issues by troubleshooting performance and network-related issues on wired and WIFi
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Service Desk, Workplace Experience, Security, Development, Project Managers, Engineering, and vendors to execute projects
  • Develop and implement automation, improvements, policies, and procedures to enhance infrastructure security and posture
  • Monitor, respond to, support, and conduct post-mortems and root cause analyses for network infrastructure-related incidents
  • Report on infrastructure activity logs, performance, availability, operational metrics, alerts, and threats
  • Conduct compliance audits
  • Regularly contribute to documentation and the Knowledge Base
  • Travel to global sites as needed to support office infrastructure builds and maintenance

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering
  • Solid working knowledge of routing protocols, subnets, VLANs, VPN, load balancing, traffic shaping, network and firewall best practices, IDS/IPS, firewall filtering, and 802.1x
  • In-depth expertise in supporting Juniper SRX firewall and Juniper EX switching network infrastructure within an enterprise environment
  • Strong background in designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise WiFi solutions
  • Proven experience in project management, overseeing projects from initiation to completion
  • Accountable for establishing project milestones and deliverables following a rigorous change management process
  • Skilled in vendor management
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • A self-starter with the capability to multitask and prioritize issues based on severity
  • Passionate about automation and enhancing work efficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with supporting Ruckus wireless systems is advantageous
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Bonus: you have experience with Okta, Active Directory and RADIUS

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $120,500 and $140,600/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $133,900 and $156,200/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
