About the Role:
As Director, Remittance Product Finance, you will be a strategic partner to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and leadership team, helping to drive product enhancements to our core remittance product and reducing our cost to serve customers. You will drive financial planning, investment analysis, and KPI development to improve returns and guide key product and technology decisions. This role requires deep financial expertise, analytical rigor, and strong business acumen to support Remitly's continued growth and innovation. You will also play a critical role in financial storytelling, translating data into insights for executive leadership, board members, and investors, ensuring clarity on the long-term value of Remitly's product and technology investments.
You Will:
- Partner with the CPO to activate investments in our product that drive long-term value creation.
- Manage expenses associated with our cost to serve customers, partnering closely with product leaders on forecasts and evaluating variances to drive meaningful improvements
- Develop business cases for product features, enhancements, and expansions, ensuring delivery on approved investment cases.
- Provide real-time financial insight and reporting, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.
- Deliver compelling financial narratives, clearly communicating key insights into underlying performance
- Act as a trusted financial advisor, embedding financial rigor into strategic discussions with the Product and Technology teams.
- Identify and implement key financial process improvements to increase team efficiency and unlock scale.
- Build and mentor a high-performing global finance team, ensuring alignment with team OKRs and fostering a data-driven, results-oriented culture.
You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance.
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and capital allocation strategies.
- Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence senior leadership.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets and ensure financial discipline while enabling growth.
- A data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate complex financial analyses into clear, actionable recommendations.
- A passion for leveraging financial insights to drive product innovation and long-term returns.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $164,000 - $205,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
