About the Role:
As Director, Product Finance, you will be a strategic partner to the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) and leadership team, ensuring capital is allocated to initiatives that maximize long-term value creation. You will drive financial planning, investment analysis, and KPI development to improve returns and guide key product and technology decisions. We are looking for someone with deep financial expertise, analytical rigor, and strong business acumen to support Remitly's continued growth and innovation. You will also play a critical role in financial storytelling, translating data into insights for executive leadership, board members, and investors, ensuring clarity on the long-term value of Remitly's product and technology investments. You will report to our VP of Finance and will lead a team of finance professionals. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days onsite at our Seattle, WA HQ.
You Will:
- Partner with the CPTO and finance leadership to ensure capital is allocated to initiatives that drive improved long-term value creation.
- Develop financial models and a consistent framework to enable leaders to compare investment opportunities across new product lines, technology initiatives, and expansion efforts.
- Provide real-time financial insight and reporting, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.
- Forecast and analyze Cost to Serve, explaining key drivers and tracking initiative progress to improve unit economics and financial performance.
- Deliver compelling financial narratives, clearly communicating key insights on underlying performance.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor, embedding financial rigor into strategic discussions with the Product and Technology teams.
- Identify and implement key financial process improvements, increasing team efficiency and unlocking scale.
- Build and mentor a high-performing global finance team, ensuring alignment with team OKRs and fostering a data-driven, results-oriented culture.
You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance, ideally supporting Product and Technology organizations.
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and capital allocation strategies.
- Strong executive communication skills, with experience presenting insights and influencing senior leadership.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets and ensure financial discipline while enabling growth.
- A data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate complex financial analyses into clear, actionable recommendations.
- A passion for leveraging financial insights to drive product innovation and long-term returns.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $164,000-$205,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
