Job Description Summary:

The Manager of Contracts Management is responsible for commercial contracts surrounding SOLV Energy’s Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Services and Solutions businesses. The Manager is responsible for the commercial portion of the contract process, including negotiating formal agreements in conjunction with the company’s Legal Department.

Position Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Oversee and drive commercial contract term negotiations and manage & support SOLV Energy’s Services and Solutions business commercial contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers. 

  • Accountable for the review and analysis of commercial contract agreements and exhibits, ensuring all critical terms, conditions, and specifications are clearly identified, defined, and aligned with organizational objectives, standard terms and proposals 

  • Identify potential risks and liabilities within SOLV Energy’s Services and Solutions commercial contract exhibits, and proactively recommend modifications or approaches to mitigate risks 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and reflect commercial contract requirements and negotiate terms with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Provide commercial input on contracts and exhibit modifications and amendments Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with business development, finance, in-house legal, and operations teams to align contract terms with corporate strategies and business objectives. Serve as the initial point of contact for commercial contract-related inquiries. 

  • Evaluate existing contracts and propose improvements to reduce risk, enhance efficiency and profitability. 

  • Analyze existing contract terms to ensure profitability and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth. 

  • Manage and improve contract management tools and repositories, and ensure accurate documentation, organization, version control, and maintenance of contract files, including tracking milestones and obligations.   

  • Stay abreast of industry changes, regulations, and best practices. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to contract management processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to track contract performance, compliance, and key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure adherence to contractual obligations. 

 

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent work experience (e.g. 5-years related field experience); master’s degree or MBA preferred. 

  • Proven experience in contract management and review processes, preferably in the utility-scale renewable energy operations and maintenance or power generation industry. 

  • Strong understanding of utility-scale solar and battery operations and maintenance concepts, standard scopes of work, and related risks 

  • Strong understanding of commercial and legal principles, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. 

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret contractual terms and assess potential financial impacts. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other contract management software.  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. 

  • Strong commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and professionalism.  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Experience working for a diverse multi-disciplined company. 

  • Strong team building and leadership skills. 

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and charismatic.

Compensation Range:

$107,421.00 - $143,228.00
