Yahoo Finance is looking for a highly motivated Booker to join the team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, pitching, and securing interviews with high-profile guests, c-suite executives, market strategists, and newsmakers to join our vast array of programming, including live market shows, podcast, 30-minute feature shows, live events,  and much more.

Our expanding video offer plays a crucial role in guiding our audiences with knowledge and insights to achieve financial freedom and greater prosperity. Every market day, our flagship news shows follow market developments and turn to lead investment managers and strategists, research analysts, executives, and policymakers to keep viewers abreast of what’s driving performance and shaping future opportunities.

A Little About the Role:

  • Book 7-8 daily guests for our live shows, podcasts and other content

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-profile guests including C-suite executives and newsmakers

  • Conduct in-depth research and pre-interviews to help producers and hosts deliver key information to our audience

  • Regularly pitch new ideas and segments for shows and podcasts

A Little About You:

  • 3+ years of news booking experience, financial news experience is a plus.

  • Located in the NYC area - this role requires an occasional office presence

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a larger group

  • Experience in a live control room

  • The ability to work well under the pressures of deadlines and a live show environment.

  • Strong writing skills and editorial judgment

  • A genuine passion for current events

The compensation for this position ranges from $56,250.00 - $117,500.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
