What You’ll Do 

The Vice President of Business Development (Enterprise Sales) will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy by securing partnerships with specific focus on large retailers and enterprise clients. You will be responsible for executing the sales strategy to expand our customer base, establish new revenue streams, and enhance our brand presence in the market. You will leverage your deep industry knowledge and relationships to negotiate and close strategic partnerships while working closely with the leadership team to ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives.

This role requires a visionary sales executive with exceptional enterprise sales experience, a proven track record of building and nurturing high-level relationships, and a deep understanding of the retail and fintech landscape. 

Sales Strategy & Execution:  

  • Lead the execution of a comprehensive enterprise sales strategy focused on targeting large retailers and strategic partners within the lease-to-own consumer financing sector. 

Merchant Relationship Development:  

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in enterprise accounts, including C-suite executives, retail leaders, and other stakeholders to establish long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. 

Client Acquisition & Growth:  

  • Drive the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, ensuring the acquisition of high-value retailer clients. 

Market Intelligence & Trends:  

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the retail and fintech markets.  
  • Use market insights to refine sales strategies and ensure a competitive edge. 

Cross-functional Collaboration:  

  • Collaborate with other internal teams (Marketing, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Analytics, Product, Operations, Legal, and Finance) to ensure seamless implementation of sales processes. 

Revenue & KPIs Management:  

  • Manage sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics, tracking progress and making data-driven decisions to optimize sales performance.  
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the executive team on business development activities. 

Negotiations & Contract Management:  

  • Lead high-level negotiations with enterprise clients, ensuring that all contracts and agreements are mutually beneficial, compliant, and aligned with company goals. 

About You

Experience:  

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or a related role. 
  • 5+ years of experience selling to finance customers within the fintech, retail, lending, or consumer financing industry.  
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior sales role, preferably within an enterprise sales or strategic partnerships environment. Proven success in acquiring and closing large enterprise accounts. 

Industry Knowledge:  

  • Strong understanding of lease-to-own financing, consumer lending, and the fintech landscape.  
  • Experience working with retailers and e-commerce platforms, including negotiating partnerships and structuring deals. 

Skills:  

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. 
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze market trends and sales performance to adjust strategies accordingly.  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a hands-on approach to achieving goals. 

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred. 
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. 

Location: Remote (Open to candidates in all states)

Salary Range: $150,000- $200,000 per year (depending on experience and location)
Additional Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in company bonus and/or commission plan. 

The final salary offer will depend on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and geographic location. The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
