As a Technical Support Senior Analyst, you would be responsible for automating and maintaining the Facets Booklet System that supports the Customer's Booklet/Certificates. This position works with Regulatory and Product areas to determine system requirements (which includes State and Federal Legislation Compliance and Product Enhancements) and may evaluate and provide solutions for complex business needs by automating manual processes. You may be responsible for performing consistent tasks within multiple authoring systems based on business need.

This position works primarily with a Cigna custom built system utilizing BPL programming language which is based off of C programming language. This language is non-object oriented using procedural based "If", "Else" and question/answer coding which interfaces with Unix. This position supports the Facets Contract Analysts with technical and training questions related to the Facets Booklet System.

Other ways you would make an impact in this role:

  • Design, code, test and debug BPL code to update language and functionality in the Facets Booklet System (FBS). This includes analysis/assessment and Case Installation Tool (CIT) mapping, which is taking CIT variables and mapping them to FBS variables.
  • Review State and Federal Legislation, Product Enhancements and miscellaneous text sent from the State Filing Team Department and inserts the text into the FBS Database. Ensure accuracy of text against product and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in other operational assignments and improvement projects to improve service and increase efficiencies (which includes coding and testing).
  • Support Facets Contract Analysts and other miscellaneous departments with technical and training advice related to FBS.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years technical and product knowledge experience required (case install, contract analysis, and state legislation exposure preferred)
  • 1+ year technical experience related to Facets and Linux preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic logical coding concepts
  • Solid understanding of health plan products, benefits, funding types and mechanisms, and other healthcare industry concepts and terminology
  • Desirable skills include knowledge of booklet production using FBS
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX navigation and command line execution
  • Proficiency in MS-Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
  • High-level of attention to detail necessary for assessing projects, testing and coding
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills for planning implementation strategy and troubleshooting defects
  • Strong organizational skills for tracking progress across multiple projects
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly complex matrix organization with emphasis on achieving quality outcome while meeting specific project deliverables

This role is expected to be Remote, work from home, and have a primary work schedule within Monday – Friday, normal business hours, or as business needs dictate.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 60,300 - 100,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
