Sr. Software Development Engineer - Workflows

Qualtrics is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Workflows team to help deliver on the ambitious roadmap for the next generation platform for omni-channel data and workflow orchestrations. Things You’ll Do
- Focus on the development of cloud computing infrastructure at Qualtrics, and help build, distribute, scale and optimize these technologies
- Develop scalable, robust, and highly available micro services related to our platform
- Implement large features that typically span multiple months and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance
- Actively mentor junior engineers.
- Define and be accountable for standards and processes that ensure quality and maintainability.
- Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from other specialists, tech-ops, and product managers
- Attend daily stand-up meetings, collaborate with your peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers.
- You will ensure our platform exceeds goals for availability, capacity, efficiency, scalability, and performance
- You will dedicatedly monitor end-to-end system performance to identify bottlenecks, potential failures and deliver service capacity planning and demand forecasting.
- You will communicate w/ engineers & partners and describe problems succinctly to enable issue management
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience developing and operating large-scale software systems.
- You have a strong background and technical capabilities in object oriented design and development with languages such as; Java, .NET. C#, Python, Ruby, C++ etc.
- Experience building, owning and operating highly scalable, highly available internet facing software services. AWS experience desired.
- Experience with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
- Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documents, architecture reviews)
- A mentality of ‘Automate everything!’
- A team player and fast learner, with a focus on getting stuff done

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience.
