SpecterOps is seeking a Sr Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our growing finance team. This individual will report to the Controller and lead Accounts Receivable activities to maintain an organized general ledger, ensure data integrity, and provide reporting support to assist with planning and forecasting. Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000 base salary annually, commensurate with experience

Location: This position is remote, based in the U.S. with optional travel quarterly for in person company events and other ad hoc meetings.

  • Candidate must be authorized to work and reside in the United States; we do not currently sponsor immigration visas. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead accounts receivable focused activities to include managing revenue allocation, maintaining customer accounts, processing collections and deposits, and performing activities required to maintain a strong collection of receivables.
  • Review client contracts for invoicing guidelines and instructions.
  • Prepare periodic invoices in accordance with the terms set forth in the client contract.
  • Collaborate with clients on aged A/R and collect on outstanding invoices.
  • Research, reconcile, and resolve any banking discrepancies.
  • Record and reconcile accurate revenue recognition entries and schedules to ensure timely month-end close.
  • Reconcile and manage revenue from channel partner sales.
  • Ownership of perpetual reports, to include Invoicing Schedule, SaaS Revenue Recognition, and Royalty Draw Down.
  • Calculate monthly receipts; prepare and reconcile B&O and sales tax filings.
  • Perform month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
  • Assist with annual financial statement audits.
  • Establish and maintain effective collaborative, and respectful working relationships throughout the organization with staff, peers, supervisors, and clients.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) in business with an accounting concentration.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • 3+ years in an Accounts Receivable focused role.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed organizational skills with a high attention to detail. 
  • Ability in managing priorities and timelines, while working independently with little supervision.
  • Desire to build on knowledge, skills, and abilities to keep abreast with company growth.
  • A strong working knowledge of financial practices, accounting principles, and GAAP.
  • Proficient computer competency and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook. 
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background investigation.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce Billing, and Avalara.
  • Experience with vendor portals like Ariba, Coupa, and Fieldglass.
  • Strong familiarity with ASC 606.
  • Experience with financial audits.
  • Knowledgeable in federal and state corporate taxes.
  • Experience working for a service-based information security consultancy.
