Software Engineer II, DevX - Seattle, WA Why We Have This Role
In the Developer Experience (DevX) organization we enable and empower joyful developer experiences. The team is composed of extremely passionate engineers who are working on infrastructure and tooling that make the Qualtrics software development lifecycle frictionless. Our customer base is composed of 1,000+ Qualtrics engineers that are distributed around the globe.

Things You’ll Do
- Design and develop comprehensive service frameworks, libraries, and full-stack tools and processes aimed at improving the Developer Experience from coding to production.
- Build solutions to enable cutting edge technologies such as Kubernetes in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Develop and implement a system for accurately attributing cloud costs to various teams, generating detailed reports to provide insight into usage and spending patterns, and support budget planning and optimization efforts
- Develop and integrate Generative AI capabilities into our tooling to enhance automation and efficiency in development workflows.
- Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from other engineers and product managers
- Promote Developer Experience best practices through tech talks, workshops, and written content, helping to elevate the skills and methodologies used by developers across the company.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background
- Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
- Experience with systems engineering, infrastructure management and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documents, architecture reviews)
- Strong level of curiosity and interest to learn
- Passionate about working with developers and improving their experience and velocity
- A mentality of 'Automate everything!'
- A team player and fast learner, with a focus on getting stuff done
What You Should Know About This Team
As an Engineer in Software Engineering in the DevX organization you will build simple solutions that solve hard tooling, process, and scalability problems. You will drive platform development from roadmap planning through engineering execution to production operations. Qualtrics strives for excellence in the operation and delivery of our services. - You will ensure our platform exceeds goals for availability, capacity, efficiency, scalability, and performance
- You will dedicatedly monitor end-to-end system performance to identify bottlenecks, potential failures and deliver service capacity planning and demand forecasting.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
