This position fills a critical need as a member of the Small Commercial Learning team supporting the culture of learning within the Small Commercial Underwriting organization. We are looking for a Learning Consultant who will be responsible for creating and facilitating various types of learning for new and existing underwriters on a variety of underwriting and sales topics.
Responsibilities:

Drive identification and directly addressing (ongoing) learning needs of the employee base while promoting consistency across the organization.

Lead recommendations for improvements to process and procedures.

Contribute to the development and implementation of workflow/process modifications.

Manage and investigate performance improvement needs across the division.

Lead and manage direct reports to operationalize their part of the overall learning strategy.

Be responsible for internal and external opportunities for ongoing employee education and development.

Monitor, evaluate, and create training techniques and materials.

Manage and own engagement/project management in strategic learning projects for their practice area.

Serve as the liaison for business partners tactical projects and strategic initiatives; ensuring early engagement to meet long-range performance improvement needs on both a functional and knowledge awareness level.

Direct and manage the process of tracking deliverable effectiveness and organizational measures of business success such as AHT, Quality, and Profitability.

Own preparation of various reports on skill assessment, training participation and other related topics.

Willing to accommodate learning across Eastern, Central and Western time zones.
Qualifications:
-
5+ years Commercial Underwriting experience with evidence of expertise preferred.

Technology mastery of instructional design with virtual learning curriculum creation, design, and facilitation experience.

Experience with adult learning delivery methodologies and distance learning technologies.

Strong presentation skills with ability to engage on-site classroom and virtual facilitation employees.

Excellent facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to relate to people who have a variety of learning and general professional styles.

Demonstrated ability to grasp complex concepts and translate into practical terms.
-
Excellent project management skills.
-
Excellent performance based consulting skills.
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$76,240 - $132,600
The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
