The Senior Product manager is responsible for spear-heading user research to uncover customer pain-points and strategic business opportunities. Additionally, they will lead a team of engineers and partners primarily with our operations and commercial teams to deliver a complex roadmap of both product and process solutions. Their work will be a crucial part of unlocking Flexe growth and top-line revenue. This job reports to the Director, Product Management or the Sr. Manager, Product Management.
Job Responsibilities
[30%] Develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap for key products within the Flexe Logistics Platform.
- For the assigned product area, develop and articulate a clear and compelling strategy that aligns with both customer needs and overarching business objectives.
- Skillfully navigate competing priorities and drive consensus on the prioritization of initiatives that will best achieve the product vision and deliver maximum value to both customers and the business.
- Develop a 1-2 year future state vision for your product area. Use high judgment to make critical trade-offs, balancing business requirements, technological trade-offs, and speed to market.
[30%] Partner closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and operations to execute your product vision
- Partner closely with Engineering teams to define product requirements, establish technical roadmaps, and ensure the timely and successful delivery of technology features that align with product roadmap.
- Understand your key stakeholders and develop mechanisms to incorporate their input into your overall product vision.
- Champion your vision and roadmap across your key stakeholders, ensuring widespread understanding and buy-in.
[20%] Define what success looks like using meaningful and innovative methods of measurement.
- Design and execute plans that will directly and positively impact Flexe's ability to deliver the broader product roadmap.
- Build or define both success criteria and key metrics that map to overarching product and business goals
- Prepare and present updates on progress and strategy to the senior leadership team.
[20%] Spearhead user research efforts focused at understanding both internal and external customers.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify potential threats and opportunities.
- Engage with both current and prospective customers to better understand their needs and to inform product opportunities.
- Leverage both internal and external customer perspectives as a means of developing a product roadmap that is extensible.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Technical Program Manager.
- 3+ years of experience working with supply chain systems (ERP, OMS, IMS, WMS, TMS) or equivalent technologies (e.g. material handling system).
- Experience incorporating user feedback and business strategy to craft long term product strategy and vision.
- Track-record of building trust with key stakeholders to align multiple teams and deliver on strategic initiatives.
- Proven experience transforming multiple solutions into a cohesive platform.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present complex information clearly and concisely to the executive team.
- Strong technical background with a proven ability to communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
- MS in Supply Chain/Operations, or MBA
The salary range for this role is $141,750 to $199,100 depending, in part, on candidate location. Recruiting will confirm the specific range for the candidate location in the initial phone screen. All employees receive company equity as part of their compensation package.
