Senior Digital Designer, Studio
Zendesk is looking for a Senior Digital Designer to help deliver beautifully crafted, engaging creative for our billion-dollar company. You’ll work as a mighty creative champion, making sure our work is easy to understand, confident, generous, and mega fresh.

The day-to-day:

Guide the brand team in best practices for visual and motion design on the web

Use your motion design and interaction expertise to elevate the Zendesk customer experience

Establish visual and motion design guidelines for Zendesk interactive properties, including micro interactions, transitions and animation

Design interactive UI components and patterns for Greenhouse, Zendesk’s web design system

Work closely with engineers to guide the implementation of the design system

Collaborate with our experimentation team to test, refine and validate the design system

Ensure that design across digital touchpoints is consistent and aligned with our brand strategy

Partner closely with peers in the Creative team: designers, art directors, copywriters, content strategists, and producers, providing direction and inspiration in the digital space

Use the spirit of the Zendesk brand to explore new ways of engaging our prospects and customers across interactive touchpoints
Requirements:

4+ years designing interactive UI experiences with a focus on motion
-
Experience working in-house would be good. B2B experience would be great
-
A portfolio that demonstrates expertise in design systems and guidelines

A demonstrated understanding of digital technologies and front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc)

Adept in UX best practices and foundational interaction design principles

Ability to clearly articulate ideas and design rationale

Strong communicator and collaborator; experience working cross functionally with product marketers and developers

Experience designing with insights from research and experimentation

Proficient in Figma and other design software with a strong understanding of interactive prototyping tools

Experience storyboarding and designing for CSS or SVG based animations and micro-interactions

Ability to execute projects of all sizes with resourcefulness and dedication
Bonus points:

Experience in visual and interaction design for digital product

Experience supporting digital interactive marketing campaigns
Candidates must include a portfolio. Work samples should show design craft, conceptual thinking, attention to detail, and a variety of experience.
Zendesk is currently hiring candidates exclusively in the SF Bay Area, Austin, and Seattle.
The US annualized base salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$164,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
