We're seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our data org! This person will be responsible for helping us understand and curate our data. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data, you will immediately contribute to the goal of using our rich datasets to make smarter business decisions. You should be ready to take ownership and be thrilled about having broad responsibilities within a fast-growing company in an extensive industry.

What You'll Do:

Cleanse, transform, and document data to enable effective dashboard development and data-driven solutions across the organization

Play a key role in designing and building our core data models, ensuring they meet current and future business needs

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new datasets from diverse sources

Partner with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to identify and prioritize data needs across the business
-
Build and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability
-
Write and maintain comprehensive tests to validate data integrity and accuracy.
What We're Looking For:
As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks who have a strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

6+ years of professional (or comparable) data engineering experience

Programming experience in Python (or similar scripting languages)

Solid experience with SQL, Data Warehousing (e.g., Snowflake), and BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau)

A desire to recommend, implement and lead exceptional software engineering processes, and familiarity with common engineering process tools like Github and Gitlab

Technical expertise in developing and managing data models using dbt (data build tool)

Ability to consult on project requirements, craft technical design documentation, and scope development work effectively.
Experience that will Impress the Heck Out of Us:

Experience with cloud data platforms like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect or Airflow.

Familiarity with event-streaming platforms like Kafka.
-
Exposure to insurance or web analytics data, especially within the context of large-scale data environments.

The salary range for this position is $150,000-$168,000 per year. The final salary amount will be determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, and insights gained throughout the interview process.
