The Sales Operations Analyst (Costco) is the primary resource for operational functions associated with driving revenue and forecasting for Costco.  Key functions will include demand planning, inventory management, purchase order execution, POS & trend analysis, trade spend management and daily monitoring of overall business trends and operational performance.  The Sales Operations Analyst (Costco) plays an important role monitoring real time business issues, interpreting data and suggesting immediate action plans to address issues or take advantage of opportunities.  The Sales Operations Analyst will work with Shark/Ninja internal cross functional resources to ensure business issues are communicated and acted upon in a timely manner as well as with direct account contacts.  

Core Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with customer demand planning teams, the sales operations manager, and the sales director on all aspects of forecasting, inventory planning, orders, and supply chain management
  • Conduct weekly meetings with customers’ replenishment teams to review recent results and assess the impact of changes—both positive and negative—on sales
  • Fully own weekly inventory flow and business reporting deliverables, highlighting critical insights and trends while coordinating calls to action in tandem with the Operations Manager
  • Coordinate and track sales performance against promotional expectations with the sales operations manager, formulating future shipment plans based on results while adhering to account-specific operational guidelines
  • Establish proactive solutions for supply chain disruptions, including backup inventory strategies and contingency plans for delayed shipments
  • Own implementation of the promotional strategy into forecasting systems, partnering with the sales team to analyze trade spend ROI, assess promotional impact, and refine Costco-specific spending strategies
  • Partner with the extended internal sales team and contribute to customer presentations, monthly business reviews, weekly POS reports, and monthly consensus decks
  • Develop a working knowledge of SharkNinja’s full product portfolio and competitive landscape
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis—quickly assessing situations to determine the necessary data and insights needed for decision-making
  • Demonstrate innate curiosity and a drive to find creative solutions

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (concentration in Business preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, forecasting, or business analytics within the consumer products industry
  • Proven ability to identify and implement operational improvements that enhance workflow efficiency and mitigate supply chain and P&L risks
  • Ability to draw insights from multiple complex data sets and incorporate them into decision-making
  • Strong ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Past operational or sales experience with Costco or a large retailer preferred
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products
  • Excellent communication, organization, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a positive attitude
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% for corporate events, customer meetings, and HQ (Needham, MA) visits
