As we embark on a strategic digital transformation journey, the role of S&OP Project Manager will be pivotal in modernizing our supply chain planning capabilities across McCain Foods.
McCain is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to ensure seamless execution within their scope on a global digital transformation. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of one of our key strategic initiatives to implement best-in-class technology for Supply Chain Planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). The successful candidate will bring their project management expertise to a global cross-functional team and collaborate on the build and successful deployment of the technology across all McCain regions.
This role requires a strong communicator and problem solver with demonstrated project management experience in managing large-scale, complex technology implementations. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to effectively manage a diverse group of stakeholders, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and navigate the challenges and complexities inherent in deploying technology solutions on a global scale.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning and Process Management

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation across a large-scale program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tracks of work, including process design, technology solution design, data management and integration, software configuration, user training, testing, cutover, deployment, and change management.
  • Monitor project progress, identify, assess, and manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential issues proactively.
  • Manage the day-to-day work activities of team members, organizing and coordinating the team, and leading project status, daily standups, and working meetings.
  • Manage project financials, ensuring that expenditures are within approved limits and financial forecasting is regularly maintained.
  • Hold vendors accountable to performance and deliverables in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Allocate and manage project resources effectively to optimize project efficiency.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and expectations of project leaders.
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization including executive leadership.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver project reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
  • Effectively manage planning and execution of work leveraging a hybrid waterfall/agile methodology. Have the skills to take on the role of agile Scrum Master.
  • Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for agile project management and improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Help team towards swift and clear decision making, tracking risks and issues for escalations.
  • Build relationships and establish trust with cross-functional team members and stakeholders.
  • Promote empowerment of the global, cross-functional team and ensure a collaborative, productive and motivated team.


Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to communicate program objectives and maintain alignment with stakeholders.
  • Possesses an agile mindset, with the ability to adapt quickly to change, embrace continuous improvement, and foster innovation within project teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and direct team to let go of unnecessary or distracting work.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 or more years of experience in IT business/industry with Project Management experience and increasing leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing "upward" among senior leadership and ensuring accountability of team.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading work completion that has been delivered with Agile Methods (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Knowledge of project planning tools, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Azure DevOps with evidence of practical application.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage globally dispersed cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional).
  • Agile Methodology certifications such as CSM (Certified Scrum Master)


OTHER INFORMATION

  • Travel: It will be required - small amounts as needed
  • Job is primarily performed in a hybrid working model


Compensation Package : $81,600.00 - $108,900.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
