About This Role:

The Production Assistant supports CNC operators in the fabrication of sheet metal parts, contributing to the efficient production of electrical systems. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in a manufacturing environment and potentially grow into a CNC Operator position. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to use basic hand and power tools. This is a full-time position.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Material Handling and Setup: Carry materials and tools to job sites and help set up work areas.

  • CNC Operator Assistance: Assist CNC operators with sheet metal for the manufacture of electrical systems.

  • Fabrication Support: Support in fabricating sheet metal parts using various tools and machinery.

  • Assembly Support: Help with assembling and installing other metal components.

  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring adherence to safety standards.

  • Task Completion: Follow direction from the production manager to complete tasks on time.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Skills and Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and equipment.

  • Physical Requirements: Requires lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs. Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily. Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.

  • Safety-Sensitive Designation: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

  • Soft Skills: Must be detail driven. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. High-level analytical ability and decision making.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, or sheet metal work.

  • Knowledge of materials used in metal components and structure fabrication.

  • Experience in modular building construction, standalone metal structures, and electrical enclosures.

Compensation:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $17 - $20/hr. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
