OVERVIEW

eClinical Solutions is expanding our Data Science team and we are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and driven Principal Data Scientist to design and build breakthrough approaches and solutions for our clients using clinical trial data. 

As a Principal Data Scientist, you will be working in our Engineering team to deliver data-driven solutions for various aspects of our elluminate platform. You will work on projects that enhance the experience and efficiency of elluminate users by utilizing machine learning techniques. 

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Education/Language:

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or equivalent work experience preferred 
    Excellent knowledge of English

Core Requirements

    Strong primary expertise as data scientist, with the ability to stretch beyond one’s core field of expertise. Successful candidates share the following requirements:
    High-level knowledge of various machine learning techniques and key parameters that affect their performance
    Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling process
    Use of strong baselines, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations
    Understanding of relevant statistical measures such as confidence intervals, significance of error measurements, development and evaluation data sets, etc.
    5+ years of experience building secure, concurrent, distributed applications
    Experience in Computer Vision and Deep Learning (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, Caffe, Torch, CNTK, MXNet)
    Proficient in SQL, and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
    Proficient in data science, analytics, or big data solutions (Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Python, etc)
    Strong Software Development Lifecycle experience (Agile methodology (Sprint) experience is a plus)
    Proven ability to work independently and with technical team members 
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

    Master's or Ph.D in related discipline
    Expert in deep learning, distributed systems, and working with 'big' image data
    Experience with general software release cycles / shipping machine learning or predictive analytics models at scale
    Strong troubleshooting skills and use of defect/feature management systems
