Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Software Development to lead our T Life App development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile application development, user experience design, and engineering team leadership.
As a Software Development Manager, you’ll lead and mentor the team responsible for building customer-facing services that enable service qualification, provide insight into operational issues, and enhance overall app performance. You’ll have the opportunity to grow as a people leader, guide technical direction and team culture, and make a tangible impact by delivering features directly into production.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manages team to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations. They monitor and measure work tasks to ensure deliverables are provided on time and within budget.

  • Drives continuous development practice improvements across technical disciplines (e.g., team structure, roles, processes, tooling, security & compliance).

  • Manages technical relationships with assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases.

  • Interviews and hires qualified team members, striving to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augmenting product or project teams with contract staff when required.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or in a computer programming related field. (Required)

  • 4-7 years Experience in an Analytics and Business Intelligence development environment. (Required)

  • Less than 2 years Experience in managing or supervising a team of 15 developers or more. (Required)

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in mobile application development (iOS and Android).

Base Pay Range: $136,600 - $246,300

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
