The Role

As the Head of New Business Development, we're looking for a rainmaker who will spearhead the creation of brand new business opportunities with prestigious brand partners, driving our growth strategy forward. This involves introducing new brand logos and integrating new teams within our existing clientele while ensuring these partnerships are the right match for our projects.


Positioned as an integral part of the agency's leadership, you will collaborate closely with leaders across research, strategy, design, technology, and production. In this role, you will create and implement our new business development strategy. Your responsibilities include researching and identifying qualified prospects, fostering relationships with potential clients, and negotiating and finalizing new business contracts. Success in this role will be assessed based on maintaining a robust pipeline of suitable opportunities, achieving a high closing rate with different brands, and consistently meeting and exceeding revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the agency's senior leadership team in driving growth and achieving growth targets by developing effective strategies, creating actionable plans, taking ownership of the company's business objectives, and addressing any challenges that may arise.
  • Achieve the company's defined targets for revenue and other essential performance indicators.
  • Create strategies and systematic procedures to generate high-value leads. 
  • Cultivate emerging opportunities with new brands and develop new relationships within existing client partners. Foster and nurture connections with influential stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Generate new business opportunities from initial qualification through to submitting the proposal and deal closure. This includes identifying the strategy and managing the pitch team.
  • Regularly report on the sales pipeline and forecast future opportunities.
  • Continuously improve and develop processes and tools that can increase the effectiveness of our new business approach.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to support business development efforts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of demonstrated proficiency in new business development, including selling design services.
  • Expertise in creating and implementing effective strategies to generate new business.
  • Proven ability to successfully close deals and cultivate long-term client relationships.
  • An extensive network of contacts.
  • A results-driven professional with a consistent track record of exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Previous agency experience.
  • Travel will be required for this role (min 30%).
