Job Responsibilities:
About the Role: The Global Director, Supplier Intelligence & Supplier Financial Risk will analyze and strategize all relevant macroeconomic and Magna specific information on Suppliers to enhance Category Management and business decisions. This role includes execution of Risk Mapping, Due Diligence and Crisis Management.

  • Your Responsibilities: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the Supply Chain, including supply disruptions, financial stability of Suppliers, and compliance issues.
  • Develop contingency plans and strategies to ensure Supply Chain resilience and continuity.
  • Drive Supplier performance to Magna's requirements including remediation and action plan governance (Supplier Score Card requirements)
  • Provide relevant supply base information to Category Management (Technology, Geopolitical, Commodity) via ad hoc, quarterly forum or Group specific forums.
  • Monitor daily all supply base for risk events.
  • Support Supplier Assurance with processing source data through their market and literature research, risk management, and selection of strategic Suppliers.
  • Update data regularly for all Suppliers in Magna Supplier Database
  • Compile Supplier Resilience and archive all Supplier Risk Profiles; Manage Global Supplier Database
  • Interface, support, and advise Supplier Assurance to determine if a risk event requires actions; advise if an assessment is required.
  • Control and administer risk event cases as a central point to ensure complete and accurate information and closure of OE Requests
  • AI Risk Mapping and analysis of all Supply Chains per plan
  • Summarize and report risk information to Stakeholders regularly via established governance.
  • Maintain and administer external service information systems.
  • Develop and refine processes with Stakeholders.


Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline
  • 10+ years' experience in Risk Management and Supplier Landscape
  • Experience with inherent category risks, compliance, investigative procedures, and legal frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Master's degree in Business Administration
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team.
