Revivn is a profitable and rapidly growing company that helps enterprises manage their technology through our end of life software platform. We take electronic recycling one step further by repurposing hardware that still has remaining life and providing it to people who lack dedicated computer access and make it more affordable for people who may not be able to purchase new technology. Working with companies like Instacart, Lyft, Qualtrics, X, Gensler, and Allbirds we are changing the way companies view used technology with a new model that focuses on repurposing instead of recycling.

Revivn is redefining IT asset recovery, merging technology and sustainability to build a more circular economy. Our core operational software, Phoenix, powers our logistics and warehousing workflows, ensuring efficiency in how we handle retired technology. We’re looking for a Freelance Product Designer to help shape this critical platform; someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants to have a measurable business impact through design.

What you’ll do

  • Own the design execution for Phoenix, applying your own process to evolve early concepts into intuitive, high-quality UX/UI for a new mobile experience and existing web experience
  • Design for power users, optimizing workflows for efficiency and usability
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, turning requirements into functional, annotated designs
  • Test and iterate on interactive prototypes based on feedback from stakeholders and end users
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, data, and operation teams to align on design decisions
  • Conduct user research and testing, including on-site visits to warehouses in NYC or SF
  • Create and leverage existing design systems, ensuring consistency across web, mobile, and tablet experiences
  • Translate complex workflows into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
  • Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative and working autonomously

What we are looking for

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in product design
  • Experience designing internal tools, warehousing, or logistics software
  • Proven ability to design for web, mobile, and tablet experiences
  • Startup experience, either as a freelancer or full-time team member
  • Expert in Figma & design systems, utilizing the latest techniques
  • Strong ability to translate detailed requirements into high-fidelity prototypes
  • Experience testing, iterating, and refining interactive prototypes
  • Ability to create and annotate final design specs for development

If this sounds like you, apply! If you don’t meet all of the qualifications but think you could be a match, we’d still love the chance to review your application.

We embrace diversity and are committed to fostering an inclusive environment. At Revivn, we encourage people from all ages, abilities, and experiences to apply. Revivn does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital or family status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, pregnancy or caregiver status, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.

At Revivn, we prioritize transparency about our compensation throughout the entire recruitment process. Be prepared to chat about compensation on your initial screen so that we can ensure alignment. If salary expectations and ranges are out of sync, we believe it is kind to respect everyone’s time and may discontinue conversations.

But, here at Revivn, we ALSO believe in investing in the lifetime value of each individual we meet and interact with. (We love knowing good humans and supporting them in whatever they do). We know that if it isn’t a good fit at the moment, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t be a good fit in the future as we both continue to grow! We work to remain in contact with prospective candidates if the recruitment process ends early on.

For all job openings, we consider candidates with various backgrounds and levels of experience. When we give an offer it is based on individual skills and experience, as well as how that stacks up against other employees in the role. All of our ranges account for growth within the role, so in most cases, you should expect to join closer to the entry point of the band. You will have the opportunity to grow your salary over time.

The hourly rate for a Freelance Product Designer is $50-100/hr. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location. This may vary depending on living location and market rate.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
