The Role
RocketReach is in a period of rapid growth and we are looking for a strong Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team!
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you are responsible for owning mission-critical applications end-to-end. You will work collaboratively with the team to build services that power RocketReach’s third-party integrations platform, Enterprise API, and AI-driven automation capabilities.
We Are Looking For People Who
- Have deep experience architecting and working on complex web-based applications across the stack
- Are highly skilled in the following or similar technologies: Python, Linux, PostgreSQL, AWS
- Write clean, non-repetitive, well-tested code that can scale to millions of requests per hour
- Are product-driven and enjoy collaborating with a cross-functional team to bring value to customers
- Are curious, unafraid to ask questions, and have strong communication skills
- Like autonomy and function well in low-control/high-uncertainty environments
- Feel confident with the ability to lead projects and own products end-to-end with the team
- Care about working with talented, low-ego, overall good people
- Embrace continuous delivery by deploying code early and often to create ongoing value for customers
What You Get to Do
- Design and develop new product features that will benefit millions of RocketReach customers
- Iterate on existing functionality to ensure the greatest level of adoption, customer satisfaction, and growth across the product
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and Engineering teams to build well-designed and scalable solutions that meet the needs of our users
- Work across the stack, including backend services, cloud-based infrastructure, databases, and third-party partner APIs
- Mentor engineers on your immediate team to establish best practices and standards throughout the code base
- Create monitoring and observability capabilities to maintain high levels of performance and uptime for the products that you support
- Product and Engineering Driven: We strongly believe the quality of our Product will set us apart from the competition. We have a Product-led culture, with our Founders as our first engineers. Low tech debt has allowed us to scale the business with an extremely high caliber team.
