General Description:

The Director, Market Access Strategic Marketing is an instrumental role responsible for the development, implementation, management, and execution of a coordinated, strategic marketing plan and related tactics, deliverables, and customer-specific access activities. This person will align closely with the Market Access field teams in support of current and future indications for BRUKINSA® (zanubrutinib) and TEVIMBRA® (tislelizumab), as well as market conditioning, planning, and launch of BeiGene pipeline products.

This individual will develop and advance a keen understanding of overall market access customer needs and create and refine appropriate personal/non-personal marketing programs to be utilized by the Market Access National Account Directors (NADs). Collaboration across the BeiGene commercial and medical organization including HEOR, Medical Affairs, Brand Marketing, Legal & Regulatory, and our Commercial Operations & Business Analytics teams is paramount.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Identify and capitalize on strategic opportunities to best position BeiGene products in National Accounts (e.g., National GPOs, Aggregators, Physician Networks, Pathways and Strategic Partners), including and beyond annual meetings, conferences, congresses which this role will oversee.
  • Liaise with the Market Access National Account Director (NAD) team to identify opportunity for external customer research & initiatives and assess individual program effectiveness; support the NAD team to gather market insights from the National Accounts for feedback and to refine strategic engagement emphases and segment-specific messages.
  • Lead promotional campaigns in conferences and events to support and implement strategic and tactical plans such as Brand’s value propositions and marketing alignment with National Accounts to facilitate education, promotion, and pathway inclusion.
  • Acts as primary point of contact with agencies, vendors, and/or 3rd party consultants.
  • Lead operational tactics such as master service agreements negotiations, SOW submission and the corresponding budget management.
  • Manage the NAD conferences, initiatives & insights gathering calendars and lead promotional review committee process to ensure relevant materials and content are appropriately developed, reviewed, and approved.
  • Work closely with the field HEOR team to ensure team presence and effective coverage at events and meetings (i.e., clinical presentations).
  • Work closely with the Customer Enterprise team (CET) for promotional talks (i.e., Product Theaters) and Focus Group moderators.
  • Holds understanding of the complex healthcare provider dynamics and evolving market access landscape and challenges.
  • Acts as a thought partner in areas of provider reimbursement and organized customer account market access strategies and tactics to the Segment Leaders and respective Field Teams, as well as a key component to the Market Access Department; proactively seeks input and opportunity assessments from Field Teams.

Required Experience:

  • BS with 10 plus years of broad biotech/pharma experience or a master’s degree with 7 plus years.
  • Product launch experience.
  • 4 plus years of oncology and/or rare disease, and competitive product launch experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced degree and training are also appreciated.
  • Market access experience with health systems, IDNs, large community oncology practices, and/or Group Purchasing Organizations is strongly desired.

Travel: 

  • Depending on candidate’s home residence, this will be a hybrid home-office/remote position. Travel will vary month-to-month, but expected to attend various industry conferences, conduct insights gathering events (i.e. focus groups), and support the field Account Directors efforts with customer visits.

Salary Range: $178,400.00 - $238,400.00 annually

BeiGene is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
