The Job:  

As a Competitive Product Analyst, you’ll be part of our Tools & Outdoor Commercial team working as a remote employee. The Product Comparison Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of cross-referencing products from competitors to Stanley Black & Decker brands. This role involves comparing and validating information from multiple databases, documents, and systems to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity. The specialist will support the sales organization with large, scaled product lists that require matching competitive products to the correct Stanley Black & Decker products. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.     You’ll get to:

  

  • Partner with the business & IT, support the governance & maintenance of competitive product cross-reference data.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in data by comparing information from different databases, documents, and systems based on product specifications
  • Maintain and update data records to ensure they are current and accurate.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather and verify information.
  • Continuously improve cross-referencing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the sales organization on large, scaled product lists that require matching the competitive products to the correct Stanley Black & Decker products.
  • Conduct thorough cross-referencing of SKUs from competitors' brands to Stanley Black & Decker from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Partner with sales to identify the appropriate brands and for each request.
  • Provide the sales team with detailed and/or straightforward cross-matching data.

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $60,800- $109,400 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
