Job Description

Agilent is seeking an energetic, creative, strategic, and experienced communications professional to support communications for the Agilent CrossLab Group (ACG).

Reporting to the Director of Business and Organization Communications, the person selected for this role will be responsible for supporting ACG's communications objectives by highlighting various elements, including strategies, change management initiatives and team success stories to inform, engage, and inspire ACG employees — and to tell ACG’s story externally.

The role will be key to driving consistent and effective communications content that helps ensure understanding and alignment of high-impact business initiatives.

This individual will work closely with the president of ACG — Agilent's largest business by revenue — to help articulate business priorities and initiatives. The work also will involve interaction with other members of the ACG executive-leadership team.

In addition, the person selected for this role will engage with the marketing team, other business unit communications leads and members of the Global Communications team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead communication for Agilent CrossLab Group (ACG) and its president, serving as the business’s acknowledged communications expert who provides communications guidance and counsel to senior leadership.

  • Develop creative and informative content across a variety of platforms to support executive and ACG communications designed to influence and support key business objectives.

  • Understand the strategic objectives for the organization and develop materials that are conveyed in the voice of its leadership.

  • Develop and deliver internal communications plans for critical ACG projects.

  • At times, develop and deliver external communications plans for ACG’s senior leaders.

  • Coordinate with other Enterprise Communications team members to deliver content and programs to meet program objectives and timelines.

  • Cross-functional collaboration with various leads to deliver a consistent approach representative of Agilent’s brand and ACG's strategic vision.

  • Drive communications initiatives to deliver maximum impact coordinated with companywide events or initiatives and linked to important public relations and media events.

  • Collaborate with others to design and maintain the ACG SharePoint site for effective communication and collaboration.

  • Develop PowerPoint presentations, video scripts, and other written materials to support ACG. This may also include Q&A documents, website content, fact sheets, and other materials.

  • Explore and execute novel approaches to drive employee engagement and enhanced brand activation. Examples include the creative use of video, design elements, infographics, and other new tools and media content.

  • Handling highly sensitive and confidential information on a regular basis with the utmost discretion.

  • Ability to build relationships and quickly understand the organization to ensure effective collaboration, while also being able to solve problems independently.

  • Providing regular communications updates for operational, executive, and ad hoc reviews.

  • Successfully measure the progress, results, and impact of communications efforts.

Location:

Anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, preferably within a large organization.

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with experience in creating content for various platforms, including digital, print, and social media.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.
