About The Position |

  • Regularly write and update product reviews and lists for Food & Wine, maintaining high-quality standards along the way

  • Find and interview expert sources to provide background information and quotes for our lists and reviews

  • Research and write supplemental content like factors to consider, pros/cons, FAQs, and more 

  • Use SEO tools, knowledge of the brand, competitor research, and market research to identify content improvements or adjustments

  • Research new products, models, and trends to make sure we’re making the best recommendations to our readers

  • Assist in our testing process, whether evaluating and photographing products at home, writing up results, attending lab testing days, or gathering insights from testers or experts

  • Contribute news and deals content during tentpole events and as needed

This person will report to an Associate Editorial Director and join a team of talented editors and writers who collaborate closely with various departments: News and Deals, Editorial, Social, Growth, Research & Testing, Production, Video, etc.

About The Positions Contributions:

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education:

  • College degree or equivalent experience required; culinary school or professional cooking experience a bonus

Experience:

  • 2-3 years writing experience at an online publisher, ideally in the food space

 

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • A product enthusiast who spends time shopping and obsessing over purchases, particularly for the kitchen and entertaining

  • Passionate about food, cooking, and drinks

  • Detail-oriented and deadline-focused with solid writing skills, as well as a basic understanding of what works on the web

  • Strong writer, capable of creating engaging, lively headlines and blurbs, all the while keeping the Food & Wine voice, values, and style in mind

  • Self-starter who can pivot seamlessly as new initiatives and directives are identified
