Description

We’re looking for a mid-level industry practitioner with a college degree and previous experience in business continuity and IT disaster recovery to join the Bryghtpath Team as a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Specialist.

Experience in Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery is required.

The work is challenging, global, fast-paced, and ever-evolving. Our clients range from large, established Fortune 50 enterprise organizations to local and regional startups that are breaking new ground with their products and services. We currently have industry concentrations in healthcare, non-profit, retail, energy, and technology / new media businesses.

When working with our clients, you’ll interact with senior executives, functional leaders, and boards of directors to directly influence their organization’s strategies for preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. In the critical moment, you’ll be a key part of our engagement team, working front and center to help our clients devise response and recovery strategies to safeguard their reputation and business.

Bryghtpath is based in Shoreview, Minnesota. We strongly support a distributed work model using collaborative technologies to keep the team and our clients moving forward. Most of our team works remotely, but working in the office in Minnesota or at a coworking site near your residence are also options. Some regular domestic travel can be expected in this role to support our clients on-site where necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports client engagements as a part of our engagement team: Supports the delivery of expert business continuity & disaster recovery consulting and managed services by developing program components, conducting elements of the business continuity and/or disaster recovery lifecycle (Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Planning, Exercises, Training, and After-Action Reporting), developing crisis plans, creating crisis plan annexes, and other program elements.
  • Collaborates with engagement team: Works collaboratively with other members of the engagement team and Bryghtpath’s management team to develop solutions that add value to our client’s business and helps achieve their strategic business objectives. As directed, develops schedules and materials that support the management of the engagement such as project schedules, metrics, coordinating meetings and calls, administering and managing content, overseeing multiple project-level efforts, ensuring execution of action items, and similar activities.
  • Supports client critical moments: As a part of an engagement team, supports our clients with active management of an evolving incident or crisis. This could include coordinating response activities, managing document workflow, scribing several meetings, tracking action items, or other activities.
  • Influences client’s senior leadership: Develops strong organizational relationships and rapport with the senior leadership & Board of Directors for Bryghtpath’s clients. Through a professional presence, demeanor, and presentation skills, seeks to influence the client’s senior leadership team during the course of an engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned: As assigned by engagement leader or member of Bryghtpath management team, assumes and completes other duties and projects. May pick up additional responsibilities in crisis management or other practice domains at Bryghtpath as skills and business needs dictate. Will occasionally have to respond to evening, overnight, and weekend incidents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have authorization in place to work in the United States
  • Previous experience in business continuity & disaster recovery
  • Demonstrates a high level of individual motivation and autonomy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong excellence in planning, organizational, and program management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills, including effectiveness in developing project plans to achieve target dates
  • Ability to be on-call to support off-hours emergencies
  • Ability to travel globally as needed
