Baseball Commercial Manager
Reporting to: Head of Baseball | Hawk-Eye and KinaTrax
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Preferred location is Atlanta, but remote roles within North America will be considered. Travel will be required for client meetings, industry events, and operational oversight.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 plus bonus options and benefits package
What's the Job About?
Hey I'm George, the Head of Baseball here at Hawk-Eye and KinaTrax. I'm looking for a Baseball Commercial Manager to join my team and drive the commercial growth of our Baseball systems. Working closely with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders, you will develop and expand our market position through strategic sales, account management, and revenue growth.
You will oversee a team of Account Leads and Operational Account Coordinators who will act as daily support to ensure the successful delivery of new and existing Customers. You will work alongside me and the Commercial Director at Hawk-Eye and Technical Sales Manager at KinaTrax to generate new revenue within Baseball. Additionally, you will collaborate with Global Regional Commercial Managers to build proposals and manage the sales pipeline in key international markets such as Japan (NPB) and Korea (KBO).
What You'll Be Doing

Sales & Business Development

Identify, develop, and close business opportunities across professional, collegiate, and international baseball leagues.

Own and drive the sales pipeline, from lead generation through to contract execution.

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including leagues, teams, and college conferences, ensuring sustainable long-term partnerships.

Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and responses to RFPs/RFIs.

Identify and capitalize on upsell opportunities within existing accounts.

Work closely with Commercial Managers from other regions (APAC, EMEA) to tailor Hawk-Eye and KinaTrax offerings to different markets.

Client Success & Relationship Management

Ensure the successful onboarding and retention of new clients by providing commercial and operational support.

Manage key relationships within MLB, NCAA, International leagues, and other baseball stakeholders.

Oversee the account management team to provide proactive support and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Act as the bridge between clients and internal teams to ensure that products and services align with client needs.

Represent Hawk-Eye and KinaTrax at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

Pipeline & Reporting

Maintain a structured and transparent commercial pipeline, tracking opportunities from initial contact to closure.

Provide regular updates on commercial activities, progress, and forecasts to leadership.

Utilize CRM tools to manage client interactions, deals, and follow-ups.

Drive data-informed decision-making to refine commercial approaches and product positioning.

Technical Knowledge

Develop an understanding of the system to be able to field questions about data delivery, quality and general client questions.

Gain familiarity with Hawk-Eye and KinaTrax tracking systems, including data capture, processing, and reporting.

Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to relay client feedback and contribute to product improvements.

Stay informed about industry advancements in sports tracking and analytics, ensuring alignment with emerging trends.

Your Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management within sports technology or a related industry.

Strong understanding of baseball leagues, technology applications, and market dynamics.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build credibility among clients and stakeholders.

Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, capable of structuring complex deals.

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:

5+ years of experience in sports technology, baseball analytics, or tracking systems.

Background in professional or collegiate baseball (playing, coaching, or business operations).

Experience managing or mentoring a team.

Knowledge of Japanese or Korean baseball markets is a plus.
