Accounting Manager - Accounting Systems Project Manager
The Accounting Systems Project Manager is a key role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process within the organization. This position serves as the finance lead for managing Navan Expense (Travel and Expense reimbursement) and Coupa (Procurement) platforms. The role also includes developing advanced reporting tools and driving the rollout of P2P automation solutions. Working closely with a global accounting team, this role requires direct collaboration with stakeholders and IT to ensure system changes align with business processes, policies, and controls, while maintaining SOX compliance documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

Define clear project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.

Track progress against milestones using project management tools, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Facilitate regular project update meetings and provide clear communication to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Address stakeholder concerns promptly and manage expectations effectively.

System Oversight & Enhancement:

Serve as the finance lead for Navan Expense and Coupa platforms, ensuring optimal system performance and alignment with business needs.

Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to generate business requirements documentation and support system enhancements.

Ensure changes to systems align with SOX compliance, policies, and internal controls.

Reporting & Analytics:

Review and implement advanced data analytics tools to improve financial reporting, KPIs, and ad hoc analyses.

Assist in preparing management reporting and developing enhanced reporting tools for business insights.

Process Automation:

Lead the rollout of P2P automation tools, driving efficiencies and process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong functional knowledge of accounting and procurement applications.

Experience with system implementations, including defining requirements and managing deployment.

Proven project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving efficiencies and improving processes.

Familiarity with SOX compliance and documentation requirements is a plus.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with Navan Expense and Coupa platforms.

Proficiency in project management software and data analytics tools.

Understanding of global accounting operations and P2P processes.
