We have renewed focus on DE&I efforts with monthly themes, trainings, personal story sharing, and fireside chats to dive into challenging issues, learn and support each other. We now have flexibility in where we work - employees can choose to work from home, the office, or a combination of home and office that works for them. And every employee gets an annual credit to spend making their home office more comfortable. We include a set of DE&I questions in every single interview to assess genuine DE&I support — and have diversified recruitment efforts with a focus on BIPOC hires. New Engen partners with local and national organizations for volunteering events and has a 1:1 donation match program up to $150 per employee. These initiatives are driven by employee interest, and employees vote on organizations to receive a large quarterly donation on behalf of the entire org. Most recently, we have made donations to organizations that support women’s rights to choose, marginalized communities, and reducing gun violence.
