The Role

A career in our Workday Technology practice, within Workday Consulting services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients leverage Workday technology as a tool to enhance and unify Human Resources, talent management, and finance. We focus on understanding the forces shaping their business and developing industry tailored solutions that support our clients through the entire lifecycle of the Workday implementation. In joining, you'll be a part of a team that helps our clients utilize integration, data conversion, extend, prism and other tool sets to enable the broader Workday solution. Workday technology consulting work streams are a pivotal part of our projects that allow for the migration from legacy solutions, interoperability with third party solutions, provide reporting, insights and analytics, and extend the Workday solution to support client use cases.

Data and Analytics, Business Administration/Management, Human Resources Management, Organizational Management, Computer and Information Science, Statistics or Mathematics
Certification(s) Preferred:
Workday Services functional certification(s) preferably Integrations and/or engagement manager certification
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates intimate-level, abilities success with managing the identification and addressing of client needs:

  • Leads workshops with clients and third party vendors to translate business requirements into Workday integration designs;
  • Works across a distributed technical landscape to design, develop, test, and support integrated solutions;
  • Understands overall Workday technology including Workday data conversion methodology, data conversion tools and report writer;
  • Explores design options in a collaborative setting with clients and external vendors leveraging your knowledge of the Workday technology platform and/or using prototyping;
  • Specializes in implementing Workday integrations of all types, with experience in Workday Studio Integration Designer Toolset;
  • Leads the entire technical workstream and coordinates with various functional module leads and client stakeholders to propose a solution that meets client's needs;
  • Encourages continued alignment to PwC IT Integration Standards and the correct selection of technologies, where appropriate acting as a champion for these standards;
  • Manages with technical effort around estimations, proposals, and budgets;
  • Establishes continued alignment to PwC IT Integration Standards and the correct selection of technologies and acting as a champion for these standards when working with territories in the network;
  • Distinguishes hands-on experience with database and application design technologies, i.e., SQL, XML/XLST, Web Services (SOAP, REST), middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.);
  • Leads with object-oriented data structures and related scripting languages, i.e., JavaScript, Java, MVEL, JSON, along with knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban;
  • Participates and leads client discussions and meetings;
  • Managing engagements or dedicated workstreams, including preparing concise, accurate documents and maintaining project economics while maintaining flexibility for unanticipated issues;
  • Leads teams across different time zones and offshore centers with the ability to support sales cycle by participating/leading in proposal development and client orals presentations;
  • Identifies and addresses client needs while building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials;
  • Supervises teams to create an atmosphere of trust and seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation;
  • Answers questions and providing direction to less-experienced staff; and,
  • Coaches staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
