The Workday Portfolio Director, Continuous Value Services (PD, CVS) will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the Workday solution on multiple concurrent CVS engagements, and provide oversight to Engagement Managers, serving in an advisory role on Workday support engagements and deployments. In addition, the PD, CVS will provide oversight for a portfolio of Cognizant’s Workday post-production services’ clients. The PD, CVS will ensure the Cognizant Workday best practices are being applied in support of all services and will work with the client-side Project Manager and Cognizant Engagement Manager to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success. The Portfolio Director, CVS will also provide mentoring, guidance, and career counsel to Cognizant Engagement Managers. This position reports to the Regional Vice President of our Continuous Value Services Portfolio practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Delivery Executive for a portfolio of Workday CVS deployments and post-production services clients.
  • Lead/Manage a group of CVS Engagement Managers and Project Associates
  • Ensure projects and on-going support contracts in his/her portfolio are properly planned and staffed.
  • Ensure all post-production services processes and tools are properly leveraged for all clients within his/her portfolio to ensure the timely resolution of client tickets.
  • Track issues and risks, communicate status and escalate concerns applicable for all clients in his/her portfolio.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to CVS Engagement Managers, Project Associates, and any Consultants working on their CVS accounts and implementations.
  • Interface with Workday regional leadership regarding account and project status within assigned portfolio.
  • Provide leadership within the portfolio to help drive business development and the achievement of bookings numbers.
  • Consistently review and prioritize business development goals and objectives by reviewing the SFDC pipeline with sales leadership.
  • Provide guidance to Sales Directors and Sales Managers on scope, approach, and estimates.
  • Prepare and review CVS SOWs.
  • Ensure the portfolio of on-going support contracts and projects are delivered within the budget outlined in the CVS SOW.
  • Represent Collaborative at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
  • Become an expert in Collaborative Solution’s CynergyTM Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements; ensure the methodology is deployed consistently across all engagements in his/her portfolio.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of the Workday product suite - HCM, Payroll, and/or Financials.
  • Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach, deal reviews, present at orals and developing a proposal/SOW.
  • Identify opportunities to position other service offerings.
  • Lead internal process improvement or “build the business” initiatives.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Successful candidates have a balance of business and sales skills as well as functional (business) and technical experience.
  • Experience in Customer Success or Post-production Services roles.
  • Progressive business management experience including project management, managing a P&L, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Consulting experience with a consulting/software company.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Management with HCM, payroll or financial implementations for larger complex organizations.
  • Working knowledge with at least two of the following business areas: Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger, or Accounts Payable/Receivable.
  • Experience implementing or overseeing implementations of Workday, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, or similar application.
  • Experience managing high performing teams.
  • Be a self-starter and can function well independently or part of a team.
  • Outstanding communication skills written, verbal, presentation, and executive interaction.
  • Possess project management and team lead experience.
  • Excellent organization and time management.
  • Mentoring experience.
  • Business development skills including presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $117,450 - $214,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
