About the Exabeam:
We are a fast-growing ISV specializing in cloud-native cybersecurity solutions running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Our platform provides advanced security solutions to protect cloud environments, applications, and data from evolving cyber threats. We are looking for a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead our development teams and drive innovation in cloud security.
Role Overview:
As the VP of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for leading our global engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative cloud-native security solutions. You will work closely with product management, DevOps, and cybersecurity experts to enhance our platform's capabilities. This role requires expertise in cloud-native software development, security architectures, and managing distributed teams across the U.S. and India.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with the company's product roadmap.
  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-native security solutions on GCP.
  • Ensure best practices in cloud security, microservices architecture, Kubernetes orchestration, and DevSecOps.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud security, threat intelligence, and compliance.


Engineering & Product Development

  • Lead high-performance engineering teams across the United States and India.
  • Drive an agile development culture with a focus on continuous improvement, continuous integration, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of the platform through robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with product management to align engineering efforts with market needs.


People & Global Team Management

  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a world-class engineering team across multiple time zones.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Develop career growth plans for engineers, ensuring strong retention and engagement.
  • Balance priorities between new feature development, technical debt reduction, and security enhancements.


Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner across the organization to align engineering with business goals.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining performance and security.
  • Work closely with customers and partners to understand security requirements and implement best practices.


Qualifications & Experience
Must-Have:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a Leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading cloud-native development teams in a Cybersecurity or SaaS company.
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams across the U.S. and India.
  • Deep understanding of agile development, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to scale engineering teams.


Preferred:

  • Experience working in ISV, Cybersecurity, or Cloud Security products.
  • Familiarity with zero-trust architecture, threat modeling, and compliance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML in cybersecurity


The annual starting salary for this position is between $250K- $300K annually, depending on experience and other qualifications.
