As VP of Media Strategy, you’ll oversee a high-performing team and ensure cutting-edge, results-driven strategies. The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $210,000 - $250,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above) and an annual performance bonus.
This role has an associated annual target bonus component which is paid out based on a number of factors which include Company performance, department performance, and individual performance. Bonuses are not guaranteed and you must be an active employee in good standing and not on a Performance Improvement Plan to be eligible for the annual bonus.
*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

You Will Be
- Shaping the approach to integrated media strategy and planning for top clients and aligning the team around innovative and scalable best practices, processes, and ideation.
- Leading and motivating a team of ~30 high-performing individuals to collectively accomplish personal, departmental, and agency goals.
- Directly managing a team of Group Directors by guiding and assisting them with strategy development, capitalizing on account opportunities, overcoming obstacles, and developing leadership skills.
- Managing the P&L of the Media Strategy department to stay within performance expectations of Wpromote’s operating plan (inclusive of talent utilization, billability, resource allocation across all levels of seniority on team).
- Ensuring all media strategists on your team can confidently articulate and deliver media plans, optimizations and reporting insights across all channels for a given client.
- Being the public face of our agency for media strategy, being featured to speak on panels, master class events, and our marketing webinars.
- Proactively supporting new business initiatives and helping drive organic growth of current business/clients.
- Acting as key liaison with department heads, executive leadership, and account teams, to ensure investment and strategy alignment.
- Developing macro viewpoints to guide the team in reviewing in-flight performance, ensuring the teams are optimizing to target KPIs, and proposing strategy pivots based on performance
- Promoting an environment of campaign progression through the ownership of testing frameworks, in partnership with channel teams
- Partnering with Client Services to develop frameworks for business reviews, leading the storytelling of cross-channel insights
- Driving strategic ideation and innovation across your team’s book of business and within the organization, facilitating new channel exploration and new partner RFPs
You Must Have
- 10+ years of experience working in paid media advertising comprising media activation, multi-channel experience preferred (search, social, programmatic)
- Minimum of 4+ years of prior staff management, development and mentoring experience
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams (10+ is preferred) in a highly collaborative environment to develop and execute strategies, plans, and programs for clients in a variety of industries.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans, and campaigns that drive high ROI
- Experience in team-wide operations to help streamline/set the team up for success.
- A track record of participating in successful new business pitches
- Extensive experience developing, optimizing, analyzing and reporting on paid campaigns across brand and performance objectives
- Experience leading cross-channel client engagements with minimal oversight
- Experience working closely with a given client’s additional agency partners on integrated strategy, planning, and measurement
- Experience working with analytics teams on granular program tracking and performance dashboard creation
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and respond to situations quickly
- Effective time management and project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field
