Position Details 

As a User Experience Design Consulant, you will work within a diverse and talented team to design product solutions that balance both customer needs and business goals. You are a self-motivated problem solver who is skilled at navigating ambiguity and can manage their workload efficiently. 

 

  • Design intuitive, data-driven experiences across multiple product areas, including our kiosk, websites, mobile app, and B2B platforms. 
  • Conduct user research to uncover customer pain points and opportunities and validate design decisions 
  • Create design deliverables such as site maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs with detailed interaction specifications 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer service. 
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders and effectively communicate the rationale behind design decisions 
  • Mentor other designers and participate in design critiques with an open attitude towards constructive feedback 
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across products 
  • Embody and promote human-centered design values throughout the organization 

 

Education & Experience 

  • 6+ years of experience in UX design 
  • Expertise in user research and usability testing 
  • Bachelor's degree in interaction design, HCI, cognitive psychology, or a related field 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Strong understanding of UX design principles and practices 
  • Excellent portfolio with examples of data-driven design solutions 
  • High proficiency with design tools such as Figma 
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills 

 

Location & Business Travel 

ecoATM is headquartered in San Diego, but our employees are located all over the US and have the option for hybrid or remote work. Occasional travel for meetings may be required on a quarterly basis. 

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per CA SB 1162 (“CA Pay Transparency Law”). Base pay information is based on market location. Learn more about ecoATM benefits here.

This position may also be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives based on individual and company performance.
