Salary Range:
$95,000 USD - $100,000 USD

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package. Job Description:

Russell Investments is seeking a Technologist – Generative AI to join our Global Technology Team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI in financial services, helping to shape the future of AI-driven solutions across the organization. 

As a key member of our Generative AI initiatives, you will serve as an internal expert on AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and other enterprise AI applications. You will collaborate with teams across technology, sales, business, legal, and compliance to ensure AI solutions are effectively integrated, aligned with business goals, and compliant with regulatory standards. 

This role is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of AI technologies who are eager to apply and manage AI tools within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI Expertise & Support: Act as the first point of contact for AI-related questions, supporting internal teams on how to use AI effectively. 
  • AI Tool Management: Oversee and optimize internal AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and other AI-powered platforms. 
  • Regulatory & Compliance Alignment: Work with legal, compliance, and product teams to ensure AI tools meet industry regulations and best practices. 
  • AI Strategy & Implementation: Define project scope, develop roadmaps, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI initiatives. 
  • Project & Infrastructure Coordination: Manage licensing, access, and infrastructure requirements, ensuring smooth AI adoption. 
  • Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to explore and implement AI-driven solutions. 
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed on AI advancements and identify new opportunities for AI-driven transformation. 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field, such as programming or analytics, may be considered.
  • Experience using ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and other AI tools in a professional setting. 
  • Knowledge of machine learning, NLP, and Generative AI techniques. 
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or LangChain. 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and vector databases. 
  • Familiarity with AI concepts, large language models (LLMs), and generative AI applications. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to apply AI tools in practical business scenarios. 
  • Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams, explaining AI capabilities in clear, accessible terms. 
  • Project management experience or strong organizational skills are a plus, particularly for managing AI adoption and coordinating stakeholders. 
  • Basic understanding of AI governance, compliance, and ethical considerations in enterprise settings.
