The Role

We are seeking a Technical Writer who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing user-facing product documentation, including our help center, FAQs, and UX content. You’ll work closely with our product, engineering, and customer success teams to document features, workflows, and processes in a clear and user-friendly manner. Additionally, you’ll contribute to our AI-powered knowledge base, ensuring content is structured effectively for AI-driven support systems.
Scope and Duration:
Part-time - 20 hours per week.
Initial 6-month contract, with potential for long-term engagement or full-time hire.

Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain help center articles, FAQs, and user documentation for our SaaS product.
  • Develop concise, user-friendly content that helps customers understand our platform’s features and workflows.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and customer support teams to ensure accurate and effective documentation.
  • Work with AI-powered content ingestion tools to enhance searchability and user accessibility.
  • Provide guidance on content strategy and best practices to ensure scalability.
  • Conduct interviews with internal teams to gather insights and improve documentation quality.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing for B2B SaaS products.
  • Strong understanding of AI-driven products and content ingestion tools.
  • Expertise in UX writing, knowledge base management, and user documentation.
  • Familiarity with Intercom or similar customer support platforms (nice to have but not required).
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, digestible content.
  • Experience in fast-paced startup environments is a plus.
  • Based in the West Coast (PST) preferred, but open to remote candidates across the US.

Our client is an AI legal tech startup building a cutting-edge platform that enables personal law firms to better collaborate with their clients. They are currently in the early stages of growth, having developed our product for three months, and are now focused on creating a robust knowledge base and support content to enhance our customer experience.
