The Azure Core team organization spans software development, program management and product management, and delivers the array of capabilities that serve as the foundation for customers' cloud experiences. The mission of Azure Core Engineering Systems team is to create high quality engineering systems and actionable insights that radically improve how Azure Core services are built, validated, deployed, and experienced by customers. This team focuses on modernizing engineering systems, on driving quality standard within Azure, and leveraging distributed systems to revolutionize the reliability of Azure.

As a Technical Program Manager in Azure Core, you'll play an important role in driving adoption of resiliency across many products, validate with innovative engineering solutions while overcoming complex challenges. • You will work with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions. You'll also identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.
• You'll define success criteria as you collaborate with others to implement features for cross-functional projects. You'll coordinate and ensure alignment across teams.
• With minimal supervision, you will help deliver on roadmap for feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation, and stay updated with governance programs.
• You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and partnering with other teams to collect performance metrics.
• You'll also contribute to customer support and participate in direct customer engagements.

• Bachelor's Degree
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience reading, understanding, and writing code, including but not limited to, Java, C#, SQL.
• Knowledge in software development and software engineering principles.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

• Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years' experience in software product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
• Architecture skills in distributed systems and an appetite for learning the foundational technologies of the Azure platform, with experience writing code for product samples, proficiency with database technologies.
• Detail and results-oriented.
• Passion for execution with measurable results.
• Experience with cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Technical Program Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
