Cloudflare's IT/Enterprise Engineering, Planning and Governance Team is a crucial pillar of the CIO Organization. It manages programs and initiatives across IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems, and Enterprise Engineering, enabling Cloudflare internal teams to operate at their most efficient level. The team establishes end-to-end governance principles and frameworks, leads business partnering, and drives program planning, execution, and demand capacity management.
What you'll do
We are looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated Technical Program Manager that focuses on Organizational Change Management (OCM). You must be an excellent communicator and problem solver. Your main role will be to lead change management efforts for a large, multi-year ERP implementation, while supporting smaller initiatives in parallel.
You bring a passion for matching up business needs with building technically innovative solutions, and excel at shifting between the two-understanding how big-picture goals inform technical details, and vice-versa. You are able to implement and drive processes and persistently make progress. The ideal candidate is flexible and comfortable in playing multiple roles (diplomat, moderator, negotiator, reporter, coach, etc.), leading initiatives, and is able to adapt to changing situations. Combined with technical expertise, you have the ability to build trust and strong partnership with counterparts in Engineering, Development, Operations, and Business teams.
Responsibilities:
- Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities for large multi-year initiatives.
- Ideate and craft innovative and engaging communication efforts.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders in order to assess change impact.
- Support training efforts by providing input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
- Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
- Create actionable deliverables for the core change management plans: Sponsor Plan, People Manager Plan, Communications Plan, and Training Plan.
- Integrate change management activities into the program plan.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- 5+ years experience in facilitating change management for technical programs, large-scale project management, or in a related function like consulting or implementation.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management, communications planning and development, and selling the benefits of your work.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
- Experience defining and measuring success metrics and monitoring change progress.
- Ability to identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation plans.
- Excellent oral and written communication, as well as strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to create change management plans: Sponsor Plan, Communications Plan, etc.
- Flexibility and adaptability, experience trying different approaches and adapting as you go based on the needs of your team / program.
- Strong competency with program management tools like Confluence, JIRA, Asana, etc.
- Experience working with multiple time zones and cross functional teams.
- Excellent scheduling and meeting coordination skills.
Bonus Points
- Proven working experience as a program manager in the technology sector, preferably within an IT or Corporate Technology department
- Experience with both waterfall and Agile development methodologies
- Experience major platforms (Salesforce, Oracle EBS, SAP, etc.)
- PMP/PgMP and Agile certifications
- Fluency in organizational change management methodologies (Prosci, etc.)
