Technical Communicator

The mission of the Technical Communicator is to teach our customers about Metabase in the way that makes the most sense - through videos, tutorials, diagrams, or training. We are looking for someone who loves data, enjoys helping others, and is excited to work for a startup to help our customers get the most out of Metabase.

What you’ll do

• Create tutorials, guides, and videos for Metabase Learn
• Collaborate with our Product and Success Engineering teams to identify training opportunities
• Review and improve documentation to proactively address customer education needs
• Lead educational webinars and workshops
• Design onboarding materials for our customers

About you

• Enjoy helping people and solving their problems
• Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
• Data science or analytics
• Data engineering
• Application development
• Solid understanding of database concepts and data landscape
• 3+ years of experience of developing engaging educational materials for technical audiences in data analytics, data engineering, or related fields
• You are an expert in at least one of:
• Technical writing 
• Technical curriculum development
• Creating technical videos

Nice to have

• Knowledge of markdown, HTML, git
• Experience with video editing or graphic design
• Fluency in multiple languages (this is helpful as our users are worldwide)
