Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking Targeting Officers (TOs) to support a client's operational requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Successful TO candidates will work in an integrated government-contractor team supporting operations. Responsibilities include querying, assessing, and analyzing all-source data to identify information of interest and propose avenues of access to targets; sustaining and increasing knowledge related to complex geographic or functional areas or issues; developing plans and approaches to support customer activities that advance tactical or strategic objectives; aggregating and distilling complex data and relationships into succinct and effective language to inform customer decisions; generating supporting research and products to advance the customer's mission; and maintaining familiarity with, and adhering to, customer guidance and recommendations. TOs must be able to think critically and communicate highly complex information accurately. Candidates should be comfortable drafting cables and responding professionally to requests for information.
The position requires an active Security Clearance with Polygraph; there is no exception to the clearance requirement. Successful candidates will work well in team environments and also be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be expected to professionally interact with customer personnel at all levels within the customer organization.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Level 4 requires 12 years of related work experience; Level 5 requires 20 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience writing cables and with customer databases and tools
  • Minimum 60 days support to intel collection operations via PCS or TDY
  • Strong knowledge of foreign adversaries' intelligence capabilities, including cyber/technical, information operations, and HUMINT
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, the fundamentals of intelligence operations and asset validation
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills/polished writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work within an ambiguous, evolving digital environment individually and as a member of a collaborative team
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to navigate traditional media, the internet, social media environments, and other large datasets
  • Active Security Clearance with Polygraph


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations
  • Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices
  • Experience with programming and algorithmic techniques
  • Socio-political experience of specific geographical regions
  • Counter-proliferation, counterterrorism, counter-narcotics, cyber-security/cyber-development background
  • Experience using methodologies or models to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and/or anomalies within large datasets
  • Foreign languages skills


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
