We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to join Team Snapchat!

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Systems Administrators and the Legal team to design, develop, and scope solutions for use with Identity Access Management tools 

  • Assist in building and maintaining integrations with third-party legal document management systems, e-discovery platforms, and e-filing tools. You’ll develop connectors and APIs to securely fetch, process, and store legal information.

  • Work with the  legal teams to streamline contract intake and storage workflows. Enhance APIs that integrate with contract lifecycle management solutions, adding features like automated metadata extraction, clause detection, and workflow triggers based on contract status.

  • Develop data transformation pipelines to ingest legal content and convert them into standardized formats that our internal applications can easily parse and analyze.

  • Participate in efforts to increase monitoring, logging, and signaling capabilities

  • Work closely with teammates to design and develop highly scalable, available, and reliable DevOps tools, including CI/CD, build and artifact delivery, source control, code review and validation

  • Work with other IT partner teams to ensure a quality setup for all team members, tools, and pipelines

  • Develop solutions by leveraging microservices or monolithic deployments

  • Leverage both commercial and open source tools/software to drive impact for the business while finding creative ways to reduce spend

  • Design well documented services and tools which can be operationalized 

  • Evaluate new technologies and work with leadership to prioritize deployment in alignment with business requirements

  • Communicate project timelines, service dependencies, resource constraints, and progress with key stakeholders timely and effectively

  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • A solid foundation in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go) and familiarity with RESTful API integrations and authentication protocols like OAuth 2.0.

  • An understanding of fundamental security best practices (e.g., handling sensitive data, secure authentication) and regulatory basics (GDPR, HIPAA if applicable) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of legal information systems, contract management solutions, or compliance-related software integrations

  • A passion for the end-to-end solutions that drive the user experience and customer happiness

  • Experience maintaining the technical needs of sites, apps, and highly used integrations

  • Results-oriented problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.

  • 2+ years as a System Engineer developing enterprise applications and automations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with version control tools (Git), CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence for project management

  • Experience with AWS, GCP, Python, Github

  • Experience with Big Query, Airflow, Looker or any other Big Data platform

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $98,000-$146,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $93,000-$139,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $83,000-$124,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
