Job Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Data Analyst Intern will support the Indirect Category Managers and Supply Chain Analyst with strategy research and negotiation planning assistance. This person will also work with our Global Spend Analytics and Quality Platform databases, in support of effective use of big data. In addition to working with established databases, a key outcome for this position will be collection and analysis of indirect spend data (services, MRO, equipment, etc.) that currently exists in independent, unconnected systems as well as from the supplier source.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supply Chain Data base creation
- Supplier Database maintenance and cleansing
- Support Supplier Database continuous improvement
- Coordinate market test data.
- Analyze data regarding costs and price.
- Perform cost competitive analysis
- Support the recommendation of business through analytics and qualitative reviews with the Indirect Category Managers
- Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Some supply chain and data analytical experience preferred
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma
- Currently attending a College or University- Supply Chain/Information Technology/Statistics/ Business or STEM related field (Junior or Senior status preferred)
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional verbal and written communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology
- Knowledge in Programing Language (PowerBI Dax ,R, Python, SQL, ERP ...) will be an asset
