Summer Internship: Global Technology Solutions (GTS) AI Developer Intern (Remote)

Education Required: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focusing on Computer Science, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence.

General Description: BeiGene’s Global Technology Solutions team is seeking a motivated and technically skilled intern to support our AI initiatives. As an AI Intern, you will collaborate with our team to research, pilot and implement AI models and systems that improve our operational efficiency and contribute to our mission of getting affordable medicines to patients around the world. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in AI applications within the biotechnology industry.

Essential Functions of the Internship:

• Assist in hands-on development and implementation of AI technologies, models, and algorithms.
• Conduct data analysis and preprocessing to prepare datasets for model training.
• Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and contribute to the design of AI solutions.
• Assist in building chatbot platforms for surfacing documents and answering questions against various datasets.
• Help organize and curate corpus of unstructured data for use in LLM driven systems.
• Participate in the testing and validation of AI models to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness.
• Prepare documentation and reports to summarize findings and project progress.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

• None

Computer Skills:   

• Proficiency in programming in Python and JavaScript
• Experience with front end web application development with React
• Experience working with large language models (LLMs) and retrieval augmented generation (RAG)
• Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, sklearn).
• Familiarity with databases and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, pandas).

Pay Range:

$27.50/hr (bachelors)

$38.50/hr (masters)

Salary Range: $ - $ per hour

Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
