As a Strategy & Corporate Development Director at Bonterra, you will play a key role in creating and executing against the company’s organic and inorganic growth strategies and have a chance to help shape the future of the social good technology ecosystem. You will join the Office of the CEO team and will collaborate closely with both Bonterra’s executive team and functional leaders across the company. Your time in the role will be split between setting up and running company-wide processes and owning specific business problems.

Responsibilities

Business Review and Planning

  • Support the executive-level weekly / monthly / quarterly operating rhythm across goal-setting, goal tracking and business performance metrics.

  • Partner with executive team to perform ad-hoc analyses based on progress reported in business reviews

Corporate Development

  • Support all stages of the M&A process up to LOI submission, including target identification, initial screening, due diligence, etc.

  • Continuously refine shortlist of top potential partnership and acquisition candidates that align with Bonterra’s corporate strategy and help build and nurture relationships with these targets

Execution Support

  • Drive cross-functional project work in an area of the business where the Strategy & Corporate Development team is actively engaged (this year: payments)

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in corporate strategy / development, management consulting, investment banking, or a related field. 2+ years of demonstrated success in an operating company environment is preferred.

  • Nice to have: direct experience executing M&A transactions in enterprise software, direct experience designing and implementing executive-level goal-setting (e.g. OKR’s) and performance metrics programs.

  • Self Starter. Ability to identify and execute opportunities with limited guidance.

  • Analytical mindset. You gravitate towards a data-driven approach even in complex, ambiguous situations.

  • Strong sense of self-awareness. Can relate well, learn quicky and adapt to changes while remaining calm under pressure.

Compensation

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

 

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity. 

 

US Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $210,000 w/15% annual bonus
