Claritas Rx started with a simple vision: to tangibly improve how biopharmaceutical manufacturers  understand their specialty product performance in the marketplace and help rare disease patients continue  to get access to the best treatments for them. Since then, Claritas Rx has grown from a small channel data  consultancy to become a pioneer in patient-level data integration and analytics for the biopharmaceutical  industry. Today, our customers range from small biotechnology companies launching their first specialty  product to large global manufacturers with a strong portfolio of specialty products. 

The Position  

The Strategic Account Executive focuses on managing sales opportunities at both new logos as well as existing  pharmaceutical companies in the large/enterprise account category. This role focuses on selling cutting-edge  technology solutions that enhance the pharmaceutical functions of market access, trade/distribution, patient  services, and commercial analytics. You will serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders within major  pharmaceutical organizations, helping them solve complex challenges through tailored technology solutions.

Key Accountabilities 

Build and Maintain Relationships with Key Customer and Prospect Stakeholders

  • Cultivate long-term relationships with senior level decision-makers, executives and influencers  within customer and prospect organizations 
  • Engage in regular customer/prospect discussions to understand their objectives and align  them with relevant CRx solutions

Expand Existing Enterprise Accounts

  • Own the business development relationship at existing accounts for Upsell-New Solutions and  Cross-Sell opportunities to expand CRx solutions outside the scope of our current customer  footprint
  • Partner with the Customer Success Director (CSD) and lead the development of strategic sales plans that align with both the client’s business objectives and company goals
  • Attend Strategic Account Reviews (SARs) to provide industry perspective, strategic insight, and  position new solutions to key client stakeholders 

Manage Procurement Relationship

  • Manage the relationship with the Procurement function ensuring MSAs are established and  renewed while positioning Claritas Rx on preferred vendor lists to obtain visibility to relevant  Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Negotiate new deals and assist the Customer Success Director in renewal contract  negotiations as needed

New Logo Enterprise Accounts

  • Develop a lead generation plan with marketing, inside sales, CRx senior leadership and other  relevant cross-functional partners to gain entry to new logo accounts for capabilities  presentations and ultimately converted sales 

Drive Sales Targets and Revenue Growth

  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales goals  
  • Maintain and grow multi-million-dollar accounts 
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast, regularly reporting on sales progress,  opportunities, and customer feedback

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams

  • Partner with product, customer success, and marketing teams to identify and recommend solutions for new development that address customer-specific challenges 
  • Work with CS and marketing to create case studies to use in landing new enterprise accounts

Understand Industry Trends and Client Needs

  • Stay current on industry trends to proactively recommend solutions that keep clients competitive 

Who You Are  

Education/Experience: 

Required: 

  • 15+ years of experience in a commercial capacity at a pharma/biotech manufacturer or  vendor/service provider to the pharmaceutical industry; a health tech start-up; or a healthcare consulting role
  • Worked in or sold to Market Access, Trade/Distribution, Commercial Analytics, and/or Patient Services function including pharmaceutical data, analytics, and AI SaaS solutions
  • Deep knowledge of biopharmaceutical market access, commercial analytics, and/or patient services  functions
  • A creative approach to analytical problem solving and a relentless passion for quality
  • Track record of building customer relationships and expanding business relationships with existing  customers
  • Demonstrated consultative selling skills to identify and address the unique needs of pharmaceutical companies to sell a portfolio of technology solutions  
  • Proven success working with cross-functional partners
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Excellent quantitative analysis skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field 

Preferred: 

• Master of Business Administration degree
