We're looking for an experienced, highly motivated Technology Operations Manager to help manage high visibility planning and implementation of operational strategies for our team and help streamline our processes for building and delivering great customer and merchant products. As our products scale in complexity to meet our accelerating business and expanding product lines, our business and technology process management practices need to scale with it. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, product, analytics, and other cross-functional teams to align operational efforts with business goals, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive change initiatives.
What you’ll do

  • Drive complex, multi-disciplinary, and highly visible transformation & operational programs in service of our team’s mission to deliver honest financial products that improve lives
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the company (engineering and non-engineering) to drive alignment on strategy, priorities, and key decisions
  • Implement lean processes and drive towards better ways of working to realize value from planning, ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be effective, and build a culture of continuous iteration and improvement
  • Establish and run data-driven operational frameworks to view portfolio performance against OKRs, accelerate value realization by enabling right investment decisions, influence and train teams on more effective ways of working, and create excitement around change to increase adoption
  • Develop communication strategies to ensure critical information flows seamlessly across the organization
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to plan change requirements, identify risks, manage dependencies, and establish tools and forums to drive clarity and efficiency
  • Identify and distill needs, experiment with new ideas to address systemic inefficiencies and bring transparency, visibility, alignment, and promote accountability across the organization

What we look for

  • 8 years of proven experience in operational research & transformation, process automation, project management, and change management,  supporting Engineering & Product 
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development processes
  • Proficient in using no/low-code AI tools and data analysis
  • Experience in vendor management preferred
  • Deep understanding of process improvement methodologies and experience driving new processes and change programs in a remote friendly environment
  • Track record of successfully implementing frameworks at scale
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills
  • Prior experience in FinTech, Payments or Commerce is a plus.
  • This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Pay Grade - N
Equity Grade - 10
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)
USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $190,000 - $240,000
USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $169,000 - $219,000
